While 95% of people who attempt weight loss ultimately fail (because their methods and mindset were never right to begin with), Coach Val incorporates the science, the behavioral change, the lifestyle and the leadership to burn off the unhealthy bodyfat without sacrificing hard-earned muscle tissue.
Val’s career began in 1994, while working toward his exercise science degree and completing his first several certifications in personal training and nutrition. After a challenging exam, he was soon certified by The American Council on Exercise as a Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, a group for which he would later work as a Subject Matter Expert. Working long hours from early mornings to late evenings in gyms and fitness studios, Val went on to become a certified Life Coach, a certified Health Coach, and to hold multiple corporate leadership positions before completing his PhD in Natural Health Science and graduating from the Medical Exercise Training Institute, a foundation centered around the science of using exercise as medicine for managing or correcting medical problems. By 2024, Val had completed a slew of nutrition and wellness-related certificates from five of the Ivy League colleges, including both Harvard Medical and Yale, in his efforts toward continuing education to better serve his clients’ needs.
